NTE 1.4 Preview: Heiyu & Akane Rin Banners, Estimated Dates and the First Limited Psyche S-Rank

Short answer: For 1.4, the only official material so far is the art and one voice line for each of the two new characters — limited S-rank Psyche Heiyu in the first half and limited S-rank Lakshana Akane Rin in the second half. Release date, preview-stream date, reruns and new maps have not been announced; the community expects 1.4 to open after the 9/30 maintenance based on the six-week cadence. This page separates what is confirmed from what is estimated so you can decide on the 9/9 Linko banner.

The character art and voice lines were posted on official social accounts in late August; that is the only first-hand material. Everything else, including the widely quoted “10/1 and 10/22”, is an estimate by overseas guide sites based on past update cycles, not an official schedule.

Heiyu: the first limited S-rank Psyche character

• Rarity / element: limited S-rank, Psyche.
• Banner: 1.4 first half.
• Official line: “Every meeting between us is a reunion written by fate.”
• Japanese voice: Mamiko Noto (per community coverage of the reveal).
• Design: large black raven feathers, gold patterns, oversized hat.

“First Psyche character” is a common shorthand, but to be precise: Fadia is already a Psyche S-rank on the standard banner, and Aurelia and Haniel are Psyche A-ranks. Heiyu is the first limited-banner S-rank of the element, which means Psyche can finally build around a limited core.

Community write-ups and test information describe her as a support who buffs the whole team through a divination-style mechanic. If that holds, she would be the first limited character built for the Psyche buffer slot — but skill names, multipliers and resource mechanics are all unpublished, so treat this as a direction to watch, not a reason to pull.

Current Psyche characters cover survival (Fadia), main DPS (Aurelia) and damage buffing (Haniel); a support Heiyu could in theory slot alongside them or next to main DPS of other elements. Concrete team advice will be added once her kit is public.

Akane Rin: Cat-Head Sound’s vocalist, limited S-rank Lakshana

• Rarity / element: limited S-rank, Lakshana.
• Banner: 1.4 second half.
• Official line: “I’m not late, am I? Then — it’s time to take the stage!”
• Japanese voice: Ikumi Hasegawa (per community coverage of the reveal).
• Setting: contract-type anomaly hunter with no innate ability; linked to the mysterious band “Cat-Head Sound” in the story; holds an electric guitar.

Lakshana currently has Chaos as a limited S-rank, Hathor as a standard S-rank and Skia as a sub-DPS. Akane Rin is the element’s second limited S-rank; whether she adds a main DPS or fills the buffer slot decides how Lakshana teams change, and none of that is official yet — do not pre-farm arcs for her.

How the release estimate is derived

These are the reasons behind the estimate, not an announcement:

1. The 1.3 second-half banner (Linko + Hotori rerun) ends 9/30 at 05:59, and new versions have opened after the maintenance on that same day.
2. Versions have been about six weeks apart: 1.1 on 6/3, 1.2 on 7/8, 1.3 on 8/19 — projecting forward lands 1.4 around 9/30.
3. Each half lasts about three weeks, hence the community’s Heiyu ~10/1–10/22 and Akane Rin ~10/22–11/11.

If the official date differs, the official date wins. The 1.4 preview stream normally reveals banners, reruns and events one to two weeks before launch; this article and the event calendar will be updated after it airs.

Pull Linko on 9/9 or save for 1.4?

Linko is the last limited banner before 1.4 (9/9 to 9/30), only three weeks ahead of Heiyu. A simple way to decide:

• You lack an Anima off-field sub-DPS or want stronger Anima/Incantation reactions → Linko is a clear fit; no need to skip her for an unpublished kit.
• Your main DPS is set and you need a buffer → Heiyu’s rumored role matches better; keep resources, but wait for the actual kit.
• You are building a Lakshana team → Akane Rin is in the second half, six-plus weeks away; there is no rush to save everything now.
• Not sure → check your pity in the gacha pity guide; limited-banner pity carries over, and the in-game counter is more reliable than any rumor.
